I’m so glad you’re here

ABOUT ME

Hi!!! I’m Lauren. As a highly sensitive person from a divorced family, I learned early what it meant to feel deeply. Theatre and singing became healing outlets for me, and I discovered the power of safe spaces where emotions could be expressed and understood.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent 10 years working as a hairstylist—where I often found myself listening and supporting the many women who sat in my chair. Those conversations confirmed for me that what I loved most was helping people feel seen. In 2023, I earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lipscomb University in Nashville—all while welcoming two babies during my graduate program. My own journey into motherhood sparked a deep passion for walking alongside women and couples as they navigate pregnancy, postpartum, and parenthood.

Today, I bring both professional expertise and lived experience to my work as a therapist and a mother. Outside of sessions, you’ll often find me in the pool with my kids, cuddling with my dogs, or reimagining my engagement ring design for the seventeenth time.

Charleston, SC Therapist

My Approach

I believe therapy should feel like a safe exhale—a place where you can finally set down the weight you’ve been carrying. As a perinatal therapist serving women and couples in Charleston and Mount Pleasant, my approach is rooted in empathy, depth, and a real-world understanding of the challenges that come with conception, pregnancy, postpartum, and parenthood.

I integrate EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), trauma-informed care, and mindfulness to help you process what feels overwhelming, quiet the inner critic, and heal from anxiety, depression, or trauma. Together, we’ll explore the patterns that keep you stuck while gently building new ways of relating to yourself and others—so you can feel more grounded, connected, and at peace in this season of life.

“We heal in connection—with ourselves, with others, and with the compassionate support we allow in.” - Lauren
