Frequently Asked Questions

  • I work with individuals and couples who are feeling overwhelmed by life’s transitions, relationship challenges, anxiety, or perfectionism. Many of my clients are navigating seasons of change—whether that’s stepping into parenthood, adjusting after a big move, balancing career and family, or healing from past experiences. For those in the perinatal stage (trying to conceive, pregnancy, or postpartum), I offer additional support around the unique emotional and relational shifts that come with this time.

No matter the season you’re in, therapy provides a compassionate space to process your story, find relief, and feel more grounded.

  • If you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, disconnected, or not like yourself, I can help. Many of my clients are high-achieving, highly sensitive individuals juggling with the many demands of parenthood, who need a safe space to process and feel supported.

  • I work with both individuals and couples. For some, therapy focuses on their personal experience—whether as a high-achieving professional, a mother, or someone simply wanting to feel more like themselves. For others, it’s about their relationship, either with a partner or with themselves. Many of my clients come to me seeking support with communication, connection, and navigating the challenges that come with life’s transitions.

  • Sessions are held online through a secure video platform. You’ll receive a private link to join from your phone, tablet, or computer. Many clients appreciate the flexibility of meeting from home or wherever they feel most comfortable.

  • Yes. Research shows that online therapy is just as effective as in-person sessions for many concerns, including anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges. Many clients even find they can open up more easily in the comfort of their own space. The flexibility of meeting online also makes it easier to stay consistent with therapy, which is one of the biggest factors in creating lasting change.

  • Perinatal mental health therapy is specialized counseling that supports women and couples during the journey of trying to conceive, pregnancy, postpartum, and early parenthood. It provides a safe space to process the emotional, relational, and physical changes that come with this season—whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, grief, identity shifts, birth trauma, or the everyday stress of parenting. The goal is to help you feel more grounded, connected, and supported as you move through one of life’s most transformative stages.

  • I draw from evidence-based approaches such as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Narrative Therapy, and mindfulness-based practices. My approach is relational and attachment-focused, meaning I emphasize connection, compassion, and understanding your unique story.

  • Most clients start with weekly sessions to build momentum and consistency. Over time, we may shift to bi-weekly or as-needed sessions depending on your goals and progress.

  • I am an out-of-network provider, which means I do not bill insurance directly. However, I can provide superbills you may submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. Many clients also choose to use Health Savings Accounts (HSA) or Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) to pay for their sessions.

  • You can begin by scheduling a free consultation. This gives us a chance to talk, answer your questions, and make sure I’m the right fit for you before committing to ongoing sessions.

INSURANCE

I am an out-of-network provider, which means I do not bill insurance directly. However, I can provide monthly “superbills” (detailed receipts) that you may submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Many clients also choose to use Health Savings Accounts (HSA) or Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) to cover the cost of therapy. I encourage you to check with your insurance provider to learn more about your specific benefits.

SLIDING SCALE

I understand that therapy is an investment, and I never want finances to be the reason someone doesn’t get the support they need. To help make counseling more accessible, I reserve a few sliding scale spots for clients who may not be able to pay the full session fee. These spots are limited and may vary in availability, but I’m always open to having a conversation if cost feels like a barrier. Please don’t hesitate to reach out—we can explore what might work best for you.
